Hello, visitor 👋
Web developer based in Philadelphia, building clean, useful things for the web.
That's me in Belgium!
My love of technology started when I was 5 and my parents bought my siblings and me an NES for Christmas. The first game I ever played was Super Mario Bros., and the second that first level started up I fell in love. I even dabbled in game design as a teenager, building my own RPG (title screen, characters, intro, and storyline) using RPG Maker.
As I got older my curiosity turned toward computers and how they work. That led me to major in Information Science and Technology (IST) at Penn State, focusing on Integration and Application: how best to give end-users a pleasant experience. On one group project we designed a healthcare website that helped users identify their symptoms and get a possible diagnosis and next steps. I took the lead on the interface design.
That path eventually led me into web development. Starting in 2018 I spent a year and a half refreshing my JavaScript and HTML and adding React and Node, building many of the projects you'll find below. Today I'm a developer at Zivtech, a Philadelphia-based digital agency specializing in Drupal and open-source web development, where I build and maintain client sites with PHP and MySQL. I love that I get to spend my days creating things for the web that are genuinely useful to a wide range of people.
A mix of recent builds and older experiments. Some of the older demos may no longer be live.
